Santiago Gimenez Scores First AC Milan Goal

Santiago Gimenez expressed his emotions after scoring his first goal for AC Milan and reflected on his upcoming return to Feyenoord.

Milan fought hard for a 2-0 victory over Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, with a thrilling second half deciding the match. The first major incident came when Fikayo Tomori was sent off for a second yellow card after a controversial offside call, followed by Marianucci receiving a straight red card for a lashing out at Gimenez.

At halftime, Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic, and Gimenez were brought on as substitutes. Pulisic assisted Leao for the opening goal, then turned provider again for Gimenez, who scored with a brilliant curling shot to seal his first Serie A goal.

After the match, Gimenez shared his thoughts with DAZN, discussing his personal achievement and Milan's win. “I’m very grateful to the team. Serie A is always tough, but we entered the game well and made an impact,” he said.

Looking ahead to his return to Feyenoord on Wednesday, Gimenez was emotional: “Feyenoord gave me so much, it’s like family to me,” he added.
